Frequently asked questions

Who are the online Arabic classes for?

They are for adults, teenagers and children who want to learn Arabic from scratch or take an existing level further, whether for the Quran, for Islamic studies or for the language itself. The course teaches classical Arabic (fusha) rather than a regional dialect, with levels from beginner to advanced.

Do I need to know any Arabic before I start?

No. Beginners start with reading and pronunciation, and the teacher builds grammar and vocabulary step by step from there. If you already know some Arabic, the free trial lesson places you at the right level so you don't repeat what you know. All our teachers are native Arabic speakers, and the team includes teachers who also speak English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.

What does the online Arabic course cover, and how do lessons work?

Lessons are live and one-to-one on Zoom with a dedicated teacher, lasting 30, 45 or 60 minutes, one to seven times a week. The course covers grammar (nahw) and morphology (sarf), reading, writing and speaking, listening and comprehension, and vocabulary drawn from classical texts. After the trial, your teacher sends books that match your level.

How long does it take to learn Arabic online?

There is no single answer: it depends on your goal, your starting level and how often you study. Regular practice matters more than long sessions, so several lessons a week with a little daily review in between usually gives the steadiest progress. Progress reviews and level-up assessments show when you are ready to move to the next level.

How much do online Arabic classes cost?

Plans start at £16 a month ($20.32) for four 30-minute one-to-one lessons, and you can choose longer or more frequent lessons. Families with two or more students get 5% off 30 and 45-minute plans, and paid plans come with a 7-day money-back guarantee. The first lesson is a free trial.
